We had a fantastic night!

We had a fantastic night! We have done many other murder mysteries but we loved the puns and the downloads to play before each act. It was a great success and we will do another in February. Question is… what do we choose next! Lol! Two people picked the murderer so the difficulty was about right. I think next time more guests will be clued up and listening for any contradictions.

Bought this game sometime ago...

Bought this game sometime ago but only recently played it a couple of months ago. 10 friends who had never done anything like this before made such an effort to get into costume and character. We had such a laugh and they are still talking about it to this day asking when we can do this again. Hence have just ordered a further 2 games

We’ve played quite a few games and this was the first...

We’ve played quite a few games and this was the first in which the murderer was created that night. Good for flexibility if people dropout.
Script was amusingly cringy. We had a lot of fun.

I hadn't hosted a murder mystery before so didn't know what to expect

I hadn't hosted a murder mystery before so didn't know what to expect. It was a great laugh but there are definitely things I would do differently if I was to play a similar game.

I would send the character sheets out with the invites. I think with more information people would have been more in character. It would also mean they wouldn't need to focus so much on the questions on the night.

I would definitely suggest using the CD as well rather than the host reading out the different acts. A bit confusing and something more for them to focus on.

I've only played a handful of Murder Mystery Games which were more structured

I've only played a handful of Murder Mystery Games which were more structured. This one seemed to have very little structure, and towards the end we found it was a bit drawn-out. Maybe it could be because we only had the minimum of 5 people.
