I ran this game as a birthday party for a group of teens. It was easy to run and it was nice that you could choose any of the characters to play (because it was a party of all boys and most similar games require mixed gender). Overall they thoroughly enjoyed it.
There are two reasons I gave it 4 stars rather than 5:

1. The game is scripted, with a uniform set of questions to ask each round and scripted answers. This meant that rather than "sluething" by having in-character conversations with different people and trying to piece together your clues, the game quickly became a series of rounds with the kids all sitting together and asking the questions collectively. Again, they enjoyed it (and had fun playing the characters), and for some people this could work, but I felt it was less of a "mystery" game than similar ones I'd done.

2. The characters and plots were really over-the-top silly. While the boys had fun playing them, if I were playing this game as part of an adult party I would be a bit disappointed with this. I love flair and humor, but it didn't feel like the kind of motives or actions that you would actually guess.

So overall, this was very much a success, and it was a minimal amount of work to get a fun game running. But not the best version of this I've ever done.

Fabulous party idea! A group of 14 year old girls had a really great time playing this.

This game was so much fun! We used it for my daughter’s 12th birthday and the kids had a blast trying to solve the mystery. It was easy to use and the download was quick.

I would say this is more for older teens. There are some sexual innuendos I didn’t think were appropriate for 13 year olds.
