The Murder Mystery Store is owned and run by Tim and Lynda Cowles a.k.a. D'Avekki Studios. We're based just outside Wisbech, in the Cambridgeshire Fens, UK, and we love murder mystery! What could be more fun than dressing up with your friends, pretending to be from a different time and place, all while trying to solve a murder?

Over the last few years, there's been a massive increase in the number of companies offering murder mystery kits but we still believe we're unbeatable for quality, value and service.

We've been making and selling murder mystery party games since 2004 when we approached BV Leisure to include DVD films and music CDs in their hugely successful range of Murder Mystery Party games (which previously only included audio cassettes).



These DVD-enhanced games were so popular that the second best-selling brand quickly followed suit. We wrote and produced their next 14 games, which sold thousands of copies in high street stores such as John Lewis, Debenhams, Argos, Toys R Us, WHSmiths - and here on the Murder Mystery Store, where we've been selling our own games alongside many other brands for 20+ years!

We love hearing how much fun people have had playing our murder mysteries and we're always looking for new ways to make fun, easy-to-host games.

Since those early days, we've designed a wide range of different games - including card games and date night games as well as party games. In 2014, we introduced a new flexible format called 'Murder Mystery Flexi Party' which meant hosts no longer needed to have exactly the right number of players. It became the best-selling brand and now we've made it more flexible with 'Murderous Decisions' which makes it even easier to add extra players!
